Brownie Troop 8180 recently delivered a generous donation of games to The Children's Room at Hedberg Public Library!

Hi, I’m Maddy, a 14-year-old with cerebral palsy who uses a power wheelchair.

The Hedberg Public Library would like to thank the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Center for South Asia for providing us with a grant to expand our collection of digital read-alongs to include chapter books.

Hedberg Public Library is excited to partner with the Wisconsin LEGO® Users Group (WisLUG) for the annual LEGO® Showcase.  The Showcase will be held on Saturday, March 8 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

WHAT: Reading Menagerie: Meet the Dragons - Winter Reading Challenge

One of my favorite moments from 2024 was challenging our Homeschool Idea Lab kids to complete the Pringles Ring Engineering Challenge. That’s right.

SENSEational Storytime Begins in January

Mariah Smitala, HPL’s Youth Services Librarian, began the process of adding a sensory-friendly storytime to the Hedberg Public Library calendar in 2019.

On Tuesday, July 16, HPL’s Executive Board approved the motion for the library to go FINES FREE! 

Attention Master Builders: The Children's Room now has a LEGO Wall ready and waiting for your creative building! The wall was made possible by the Friends of Hedberg Public Library and is intended for school-age builders. (Thank you, Friends!)

We have a new club starting on March 20^th specifically for tweens. What’s a tween, you ask?

Our mural is done! In just five days, Madison, WI-based artist Emily Balsley transformed a wall in the Cathy Norris Picture Book Garden of The Children’s Room at Hedberg Public Library from ordinary to extraordinary.
