Introducing Tween Team

We have a new club starting on March 20th specifically for tweens. What’s a tween, you ask?

Excellent question.

I checked a few online dictionaries, and while the age range seems to change slightly depending upon the source, the main idea is: a person who is considered too old to be a child, but not yet a teenager.

Not a little kid; not a teen. An in-between or a tweenager.

They don’t mind some of the games they liked when they were little and they will still play with the youngers, but they would LOVE to hang out with the teens … and yet … they are in this cool place where they are no longer that, but not yet the other.

TWEEN TEAM is exactly that sort of thing too. It’s not for the youngers and it’s not for the teens. It’s for the TWEENS ages 9-12.

Each time we get together we’ll do something just for fun like Minute to Win It challenges. But we will also do a bit of service, such as creating craft bags for younger kids, or creating decorations for the library, or brainstorming programming ideas for the future. A bit of fun and a bit of service. Not just one thing and not just the other …

Oh, and we’ll also have some type of snack. Because everyone likes a snack – right?

Registration is open for the first two TWEEN TEAM meet ups.

Wednesday, March 20th from 2-3:30 PM (during SDJ Spring Break) – MINUTE TO WIN IT

Wednesday, April 17th from 3:30-5 PM – GROUP CHALLENGE
