The 2025 Summer Library Challenge,

What draws people to the library? Everything! From books and digital resources to job assistance and creative programming, libraries are essential to thriving communities.

March is the month for student art.

After much consideration, the library has determined the need to make additional service changes to Hoopla effective March 1. 

The changes are as follows:

Hedberg Public Library is excited to partner with the Wisconsin LEGO® Users Group (WisLUG) for the annual LEGO® Showcase.  The Showcase will be held on Saturday, March 8 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

February art exhibits at Hedberg Public Library include alcohol ink paintings on glass and acrylic ink and pint on canvas. Both artists use deep, rich colors to craft their beautiful pieces.

WHAT: Reading Menagerie: Meet the Dragons - Winter Reading Challenge

WHEN: January 6 through May 24, 2025

WHO: Readers age 5 to 12

Did you know that your library offers curbside materials pickup? These turkeys did! Whether you are on-the-go or unable to enter the library (sorry, no turkeys allowed!), library staff can bring the books to you! 

November's art exhibits, which include oil pastels, oil paintings, and photography are a celebration of Native American Heritage Month and our connection to the natural world.

Dreading the long wait for high-demand bestsellers and DVDs? Stop by our Lucky Day shelf (formerly known as Jackpot) to see what's new and popular.

During the month of October, stop by the library to view stunning oil paintings by artist Nancy Dimicelli. Her large and vibrant pieces can be found in both the Fireplace Room and on the River Wall. 

Now on display in the Woodruff Cases at Hedberg Public Library, Elizabeth Matson, HPL's Head of Youth Services, shares her artful collection of hand-knitted National Parks hats.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for our Banned Books Giveaway! This year we had 310 books, with so many visitors that only a few titles are leftover.
