Registration begins today for the Unearth a Story summer library challenge for all ages. 

To participate using a print Reading Log:  Stop at any of the library's service desks between June 15 - August 7.  You will receive your Reading Log and can begin keeping track of your reading and activities.

To participate using Beanstack:  Register online or download the Beanstack Tracker App for iOS or Android.  Create a Beanstack account and then register for the Summer Library Challenge.  If you have an existing Beanstack account, you will use the same username and password. 

Everyone who registers and provides an email address will receive a welcome email.

Once you are registered:

  • Pick up a lanyard and your first of four HPL buttons or stickers at the library’s Summer Desk, at HPL Express in Uptown Janesville, or on the HPL Bookmobile.
  • Complete 8 reading levels throughout the summer.  
  • Complete an activity for each level.
  • Earn prizes from June 15 - August 7.  Kids can visit the Children's Desk.  Teens and Adults can visit the Service Desk or Teen Central Desk.
  • Complete all 8 reading levels and be recognized with your first name on a yard sign.  This sign will be placed in the library's yard for the entire community to see.
  • Complete a bonus reading log or bonus reading badge in Beanstack to challenge yourself this summer.
