What is it?
Our Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional items that you can enjoy on the go, like a telescope for stargazing, an Amazon Firestick for catching your favorite shows, or even a pass to the Milwaukee Art Museum!
How does it work?
Visit our Library of Things display. If you see an item you'd like to borrow, take the item's card to the Checkout Desk. Library staff will retrieve your item and check it out to you. Age restrictions may apply.
If you see a QR code, the item has already been checked out and is not currently available. Scan the QR code with your phone's camera to place a hold on the item* or visit the Checkout Desk and ask staff to help you place a hold.
You can also browse the collection online and place a hold anytime, from anywhere!*
*Some exclusions apply. Visit the items record for details. Experience Passes are not available for hold.
