The Friends of Hedberg Public Library held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Reception on Friday, April 25 with the theme "Three Cheers for our Volunteers.” Celebrating the time all volunteers give to the library, 15 members earned the Presidential Volunteer Service Award and all attendees enjoyed fun, food, door prizes, a photo booth, and activities.
The Friends of Hedberg Public Library is a non-profit (501c 3) organization that raises money through membership dues, fundraisers, and The Ground Floor, a used book and gift shop located on the lower level. The Friends support the organization’s mission of helping the library provide an extra level of services not possible through the normal operating budget. Proceeds from their efforts have supported projects to enhance the library and expand the awareness of library programs and services.
