During the month of February, you will find artwork done by students from the School District of Janesville (SDJ). This year's exhibit has brought a wide palette of talent of students from Monroe, Van Buren, Wilson, Washington, Adams, Madison, Kennedy, Lincoln, Jefferson, Franklin, Edison, Marshall, Parker and Craig. Their 2D and 3D creative works are awe-inspiring, the talent of these young artists in simply incredible.
Art is available for viewing during regular library hours and can be found throughout the building. Viewers are encouraged to leave written comments for the artists in the binder located in the Fireplace Room.
Thank you to HPL Art Committee member, Jon Maglio, and all the SDJ art teachers who participated this year for sharing their students' artwork with the staff and public at HPL. Special thanks to Kelly Hausknecht and JATV Media Services for the Meet the Artist: February 2026 with the School District of Janesville interviews that let us learn more about the artists, their inspirations, and Jon's teaching style that allows students to experiment and learn to feel confident in their abilities.
