
We are excited to announce updates to our printing procedures designed to improve convenience, reduce wait-times, and enhance your overall experience.
These new procedures will take effect starting May 27 and will include streamlined steps for submitting print jobs and improved support for mobile and wireless printing.
Please take a moment to review the changes outlined below to ensure a smooth transition. Our staff is available to assist you with any questions or guidance you may need.
PAY AS YOU GO
We're saying goodbye to our old printing system, SAM, and welcoming a new, pay-as-you-go system. This means you will no longer be able to carry a balance on your library card account.
A cash/coin op machine will be available at each Print Release Station. If you want to pay with a card or need change, visit any desk for help.
No new SAM balances may be created effective May 12.
Funds will only be added to SAM to cover current session printing as of May 12. Existing fund balances will remain available in SAM until May 27.
Existing SAM balances will migrate to an AAM Deposit Account May 27.
If you had money saved on our previous system, SAM, you may access those funds by choosing AAM Deposit Account when paying for your prints at the Print Release Station.
Funds transferred to the AAM Deposit Account must be used by August 31.
As of Monday, September 1, all prints will be pay-as-you-go and paid for with cash or coin at the Print Release Station or with a credit/debit card at any service desk. There is a minimum $1 if using credit/debit.
Prices for an 8.5x11(letter) print are 10¢/page for black & white and 25¢/page for color. Need a larger size? Visit the desk for assistance.
REMOTE PRINTING
Quickly and easily print from your laptop or mobile device with Princh, our new remote printing app! Look for a QR code at the library or visit Print.Princh.com. Use HPL’s printer ID: 111301. Send your print from anywhere, anytime, then visit the library’s Print Release Station near the checkout desk or in Youth Services during library hours to pay and release your prints.
