March Art Exhibits at HPL

During the month of March, there are three exhibits throughout the library.

In the Fireplace Room, we have the photography of Pat Sparling. His exhibit is titled “Do You See What I See?” and features images of open spaces in the country and abandoned buildings in downtown Janesville. Learn more by viewing Pat’s Meet the Artist interview on JATV.

The River Wall is where you can find the mixed media exhibit of Jaritza Santiago. Her artwork is filled with vibrant color and whimsy that she creates to give hope to others who have struggled with mental health issues as she has. Watch Jaritza’s Meet the Artist interview on JATV

The 360° Display Case hosts the Rock Prairie Montessori Middle School mixed media art exhibit. Art teacher Tracey Hall said, “The student artwork displayed here illustrates their exploration of specific art forms and skills, connection and responses to poets and authors, and three-dimensional answers to project-based questions. These represent work created for English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Art classes."

Stop by HPL during regular hours to enjoy the beautiful variety of artistic styles and mediums decorating the library. Viewers are encouraged to leave written comments for the artists in the binder located in the Fireplace Room. Thank you to Pat, Jaritza, and Tracey and her students for sharing their beautiful pieces with us.
