Make Today Your Lucky Day!

STAFF CONTRIBUTOR:

Are you tired of waiting for your hold on the latest John Sandford? Know that it could still be a couple of months before your reserved copy of Beach Vibes by Susan Mallery comes in? Would love to watch A Complete Unknown on Bob Dylan’s birthday, but know that there are MANY people waiting ahead of you? Why don’t you stop into the library and look at what’s on our “Lucky Day” shelves.

Lucky Day books and movies (previously known as “Jackpot”) are copies of new, popular titles to offset those with high holds and long waiting lists. There is a certain amount of serendipity to these ”Lucky Days” since they don’t allow for holds and check out for just 7 days with no renewals, but it's worth a browse!

If you’re in the library, looking for something to read but really want to read or watch one of those titles you have on hold, then be sure to stop by the Lucky Day shelf, located at the beginning of the New Books Section, and see if what you’ve been waiting for might be there waiting for you. Who knows, you might get lucky! Check it out, read it before your friends who are still waiting for their reserve copy, and delete your hold.

Best of luck!
