Calling all LEGO® builders ages 5-12: here's your chance to share your creativity and skill with other LEGO lovers!
Beginning Tuesday, January 20-Thursday, February 26, register online, at the library, or call 608-758-6600 (space is limited and only one submission per registrant). At home, using your own supplies, build your LEGO masterpiece and deliver it to the HPL Children's Desk from February 19-26. Keep in mind that your creation must be less than one cubic foot (12"x12"x12) due to the size of our display cases.
Your creative creations will be on display at the library for all to enjoy during regular library hours from Monday, March 2-Thursday, March 26. They can be found in the 360 Display Case in the Fireplace Room and the Woodruff Display Case.
Plus, be sure to stop by the library on Saturday, March 7 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for the LEGO® Showcase! In addition to viewing LEGO displays created by local youth, you'll find displays from members of the Wisconsin LEGO Users Group (WisLUG). Enjoy LEGO themed activities and building with LEGO and DUPLO® bricks in The Children's Room. LEGO enthusiasts of all ages are welcome!
JUNIOR LEGO BUILDERS DISPLAY:
- For builders ages 5-12
- Size restriction of 12"x12"x12" strictly enforced
- Registration: January 20-February 26 (Space is limited. First come, first served)
- Drop off: February 19-26 at Children's Desk
- Display: March 2-26 (LEGO Showcase is March 7)
- Pickup: March 28-31*
*Unless specific arrangements are made, LEGO builds not picked up by April 4 will become property of the library. They will be disassembled and added to the library's LEGO collection for public use.
