Ronda Dorn is a self-taught artist who uses multiple media and only recently started painting with watercolors. She likely inherited some of her talent from her father who was a cartoon artist who never shared his artwork with her. Ronda has her own art business, RD Creations, where she works with her clients to create personalized pieces for them. To learn more about Ronda, her art, and what inspires her, watch her Meet the Artist interview.
Also, this month, you can find a display of model trains in the 360 Display Case. The display is from the Wis-Ill Modular Model Railroad Group which will present a Railroad Slide Show on Tuesday, January 13 at 6 p.m. and a large Model Railroad Display in the Program Room on Saturday, January 17 from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. The exhibit in the display case, the slideshow, and the display are must sees for all train lovers. Learn more about the Wis-Ill Modular Model Railroad group on its Facebook page.
Art is available for viewing during regular library hours. Viewers are encouraged to leave written comments for the artists in the binder located in the Fireplace Room. Special thanks to Kelly Hausknecht, and JATV Media Services for the Meet the Artist interview that let us learn more about the artist and their inspirations.
