The watercolor artwork by the well-known, local artist, Connie Glowacki, will be on display during the month of July at Hedberg Public Library. Connie began drawing and painting in the early 1980s and has chosen watercolor as her medium of choice because of its flexibility with color and shadows.
Her paintings transport the viewer to another place. The vibrant colors create images that sometimes look more like photographs than paintings. Her paintings range from vivid florals and peaceful vistas to scenes that capture the essence of the human experience.
Thank you to Connie Glowacki for sharing her stunning artwork with the community at the library. Special thanks to Teresa Nguyen and JATV Media Services for the interviews that let us learn more about each of the artists and their inspirations. You can find the Meet the Artist interview with Connie here.
Connie's art is available for viewing during regular library hours and can be found throughout the library in the Gallery, the Fireplace Room, and on the River Wall. Viewers are encouraged to leave written comments for all artists in the binder located in the Fireplace Room.
