Hedberg Public Library is pleased to be one of two locations selected to receive a large-scale mural during Art Infusion 2025.
Sun Prairie, WI-based artist Raymond Mawst will transform an outdoor wall near HPL's entrance into a bold and imaginative work of art during the Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (JACVB) Art Infusion 2025 to be held September 5-7. Organizers are inviting visitors' imaginations to soar as the 2025 theme, Let Words Take Flight, comes alive through incredible artwork inspired by the power of words. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to watch Mawst's mural at the library and another mural by artist Chris Silva take shape over the course of the weekend.

Mawst began his career as a package designer in New York City before returning to Wisconsin to start his own lettering and design company. In 2017, he discovered a passion for sign painting, which led him to explore large-scale mural work. By 2019, he founded OhYa Studio in Madison, where he has created more than 50 murals in the area. Art Infusion began in 2011 as a way to build community through creativity and continues to evolve each year, with a growing number of murals and public art projects transforming Janesville’s downtown. Art Infusion draws visitors from across the region and highlights the impact of art as a lasting and accessible part of community identity.

Contribute to the Chalky Fun!
In addition to the live mural painting, Art Infusion will offer a variety of activities for all ages, including the Chalk Art Competition where artists of all skill levels are invited to create temporary chalk masterpieces on downtown sidewalks following the 2025 theme, Let Words Take Flight. Kids and families are invited to participate in the artful fun by joining us in Library Park on Saturday, September 6 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. for Pose & Draw. Pose and take a pic with some pre-drawn sidewalk chalk art, then decorate our sidewalks with your own chalky creations! No registration necessary.
