Purpose:
In keeping with the Hedberg Public Library’s (HPL) practice of nondiscrimination and Sec 24-105 of the City of Janesville ordinance, patrons and staff have the right to use the public spaces and facilities most safe and comfortable for them, without being harassed or questioned, for any discriminatory reason. See Sec 24-104(b) of the COJ ordinance for definitions of discrimination. An inclusive restroom is provided, which all individuals may utilize. No individual, however, is required to use the inclusive restroom.
The Public Code of Behavior may be applied in instances where a staff or patron is being harassed or stalked in Hedberg Public Library as a result perceived misuse of HPL facilities.
