Program Description
Event Details
April is National Poetry Month and we are celebrating for the fifth year with Poetry Pathway: a collaborative project with Hedberg Public Library, Janesville Parks and Recreation, and you the Janesville residents and poets!
During the month of April, residents ages 12 and up are invited to submit an original poem to the project. These poems will have a chance to be one of eight that are printed on signs and installed along the Ice Age Trail in Palmer Park over the summer. This way, residents of all ages can enjoy the nature trail and read the poetry of their community members. It is a great way to get outside, move your body, and nurture your brain--all in one outing!
Beginning April 1 at 9 a.m., submit your poem here: Submission Form or visit the Hedberg Public Library to fill out a paper form. Submissions are due by the end of the day Thursday, April 30th. All submitted poems will be printed and made into a zine that will be available in the library to read and enjoy.
