Stop in by the main desk to pick up a part of the history as we give away a limited number of free CDs featuring the music of Don Voegeil.
Don, who was a University of Wisconsin professor, wrote the iconic theme song to National Public Radio's (NPR) All Things Considered flagship news program and worked at Wisconsin Public Radio for 41 years. NPR still uses the theme songs today, celebrating 50 years in 2026.
The free CDs trace the history of the theme songs and have various arrangements along with interviews of Don. This CD set includes 24 tracks and took three and a half years to compete, requiring thousands of hours of extensive research, digitization and audio-restoration. A history booklet with extensive liner notes is enclosed.
One free CD pack per person. Supply is limited.
