The Irish were the second largest foreign-born immigrant group in the state of Wisconsin before the Civil War, and eleven percent of Wisconsin’s population claim Irish heritage today.  Learn about the experiences and contributions of Irish immigrants and Irish Americans from the nineteenth century Wisconsin to the near present.  Presented by Matthew McCabe, UW-Whitewater.
