Donations of Used Materials
The library accepts used book donations both for the library's collection and on behalf of the Friends of HPL, who operate a used book store in the lower lobby of the library.

Donated materials are inspected by staff first, who select items suitable for the library collection. Donors may be given a receipt for such gifts, but the library does not give appraisals of value. Gifts are not returned to the donor.

Books may be left at the The Ground Floor desk. Magazines, textbooks, DVDs, music CDs and audiobooks are also accepted, as long as they are in good condition.

Items Not Accepted:

• VHS tapes
• Encyclopedias
• Dictionaries
