On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, the HPL Executive Board approved a new mission, vision, and values that better reflects the library's focus on Building Community. The new statements are designed to be simple, clear, and inclusive. We look forward to living our new mission each day with each library visitor.

Prioritizing Diversity & Inclusion at Your Library
As part of our ongoing efforts to be more inclusive, diverse and aware, library staff drafted a Diversity and Inclusion Statement of Commitment that was approved by the library’s executive board on March 16, 2021.

The library is a place that welcomes and serves all. We look forward to continuing the conversation around diversity, equity and inclusion in the days, months and years to come.
