Local History Database
The Local History Database is a tool for finding information about Janesville and Rock County history in newspaper articles, photographs, books, and pamphlets. Searching the database may lead directly to the information you're seeking or to a citation telling where in Hedberg Public Library that information is located. It does not lead to a digitized article or photo.

The Local History Database includes books, photograph collections, pamphlets, and newspapers.
The Local History Database includes Janesville Gazette articles of local interest from 1996 to the present. However, wedding notices, death notices and obituaries, the "public record," and sports events are not generally included. The actual newspaper is on microfilm at Hedberg Public Library. Articles can be printed from the microfilm.
Death notices and obituaries are indexed in a separate online database.
